A YOUNG teen bullied for "being ginger" was beaten up by a mob and smacked with his own scooter while several youngsters filmed the gutless attack. Unsettling mobile phone footage shows Toby Gates, 12, repeatedly being kicked as he writhes in agony on the ground. Toby's fuming dad, Simon McManus, shared a Snapchat video allegedly taken by a child who watched the attack in Yeovil, Somerset, on Saturday. It shows Toby, whose mum died less than a year ago, being wrestled to the ground by another boy before being punched, kicked, and stamped on. After the beating one of the boys took a close-up picture of Toby's face as he was lying on the grass in distress. Simon, 51, said: "I was devastated when he told me what happened.

Mum Lauren Russell took to Facebook in an emotional post about her son's ordeal, which has since gone viral. Little Noah Gilbert and mum Lauren boarded their usual bus on Monday when some teenagers in school uniform started making fun of Noah's ginger hair. Lauren, from Southampton, claims the comments included: "I would hate my child to be ginger, I would kill it" and "All kids with ginger hair should go straight to social services". Despite being just three years old, Noah picked up on the comments and later got upset over the colour of his hair, asking why he couldn't be blonde like his older brother. He doesn't understand why he isn't blonde like his siblings.

Footage of the brutal assault - which appeared on video site YouTube just hours after it happened - shows a crowd of pupils at The Deanes School in Thundersley, Essex, encouraging the bullies to attack.
